The Character of Geel
Geel was born from the idea of creating pieces that would continuously end up in the laundry basket - high quality and adaptable enough for any season and occasion on a given day.
We make clothes for individuals who exist within the dichotomy of being soft and bold, and carry a free disposition. The Geel mindset is to stay comfortable to face new ideas and possibilities with an open mind. Seeing every aspect of life as an opportunity to express your imagination, Geel was conceptualized as a brand that keeps you feeling easy and adaptable within your own space.
Process + Materials
Our garments are designed in Los Angeles, CA. Our core collection is made locally in Los Angeles and our upcoming collection made in Korea working with high quality materials and vendors. We design slowly and intentionally to create garments that adapt to different areas and stages of life to promote longevity. We partner with ethical manufacturers and produce in small batches to eliminate waste and overproduction.
Our core fabric is a luxurious blend of modal and spandex, which is soft, stretchy, and comfortable - a fabric usually found in high quality undergarments. It is locally milled from start to finish here in LA to our specifications.
We utilize sustainable packaging by using compostable garment bags + mailers and recycled paper. Our packaging is light and minimal to reduce as much waste and carbon footprint as possible. You can learn about our Eco-Alliance packaging here.
